Just Pour Me An Ice Cold Corona

We are certainly living in a weird time right now. With the COVID-19 pandemic we have over reactors, under reactors, and then those of us who are trying to do what is best and follow protocol, but also stay sane. I’m kind of lucky because I still get to interact with my daycare families and my business partner, but otherwise we have shut ourselves off from the rest of the world besides social media. The information we are receiving is all over the board, but I do feel as if we are starting to find more accurate information as each day goes by.

Anyways… how are the rest of you doing? I am one who already suffers from anxiety because life isn’t always easy and some of what is happening in our world now is increasing this anxiety for me. I already am a semi-germaphobe but am diligently sanitizing on a daily basis now instead of every few days or weekly as I was doing before.

However, my thoughts on this pandemic here in the United States are that this virus has been here and spreading for the last several months. In the middle of February, I started feeling run down with a scratchy throat and sinuses issues. Then one Saturday morning woke feeling terrible, running a fever. The fever only lasted a day, but my sinuses were stuffy one minute and running the next and my chest hurt so bad. There was no warning or lead-up to the chest pain. I’d cough and my lungs would burn and hurt.

I just chalked it up to being a virus because a few of my daycare kids had been coughing with snotty noses for two weeks prior to this. Now I’m beginning to wonder if this could have been the Coronavirus. Plus, the last several months they wouldn’t have tested anyone for it. They are just diagnosing everyone with bronchitis and viral stuff. So, there are my thoughts on this whole pandemic.

Sarah and I chuckle at all the things we are seeing on social media regarding parents having to stay home with their kids all day. We’ve done this for years, so nothing new to us. Welcome to our world. We both are going to be having our kids/daycare kids doing worksheets and other curriculum during this school shutdown period. I know Sarah has really went into preparation of teacher mode for her 3 at home during the days. If you would like any advice or tips on what she has planned feel free to reach out to her. We truly hope everyone is staying safe, abiding by the “social distancing” for the most part, and washing your hands very often!

We want to hear from you! Comment below fun ways you are staying entertained during this quarantine

and any new ideas/activities you have your kids doing during this time.

We have a little entertainment treat for you. We had and empty house and went on a “bar crawl.”

Hope you all enjoy!

XOXO – Britney
